The Hi-Rock is an air chuck manufactured by Himeks that employs a capsule chuck mechanism, which expands a high-density urethane capsule using air pressure to grip the core. Since the urethane capsule expands to grip the entire circumference of the core, it reliably transmits drive even for metals and resins that are prone to slipping with conventional taper cones. It can accommodate sizes from 1 inch to 15 inches, making it particularly suitable for lightweighting and cost reduction of large diameter air shafts.
